This is Yuletide, everybody make a scene

I am the sock with the tear-away face
Low-effort with your gift and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who does an exchange without acknowledging their gift?"
I am the wanker blowing through your fics comments
I am the coalie dragging your letter at night
Filling your exchange to the brim with fright!

This is Coaltide!

Hacked their accounts, you say? Would you mind going into more detail about how you did this?

They must have used their amazing IP bouncing skillz, which include.

They either already knew the passwords or are an actual hacker. Sadly, both these things happen in fandom fairly consistently.

There are actual hackers in fandom, my dude. AO3 also ain't that hard to hack.

True and idk why more people don't remember LJ passwords have been hacked so often they've shown up for sale online.

In fact, all the actual hackers I know are also fanpeople. (Though none of them would bother hacking an AO3 account.)

I am extremely curious about what the hell you mean by "actual hackers." Are people deploying their 0-day ao3 exploits?

Nobody is hacking AO3 that I know about, but a lot of hackers are also into fandom stuff.

"Actual hackers" meaning people in fandom who have high-level hacking skills and are happy to use them within fandom. I deleted my LJ and the associated AO3 about seven years ago because of frequent hacking attempts from someone operating at the same level of crazy as the OP.

NA. I've had to do this, too, coalie. Twice in the last decade, actually. Crazy stalkers be crazy.

NA. If the "YT accounts" the OP is talking about is stuff like AO3, LJ/DW, and email, it's probably only email which might present any sort of real challenge for someone who really does know how to hack, but it would depend on which email provider being used. Some email providers are a lot easier to hack than others.
