lol +1. And it's not even anything about the treatment of the character in the fics, which I imagine is sometimes pretty bad, it's the fact of the ship itself.

There's little more annoying than largely-white assholes declaring ships with people of color off-limits because shipping them makes you racist when they're perfectly bog-standard fannish tropes. Thanks for making it even harder to ship those characters, asshole.

Agreed. I'm so fucking sick of this mentality. Last fandom I was in people got shit from assholes like this when they wrote the POC bottoming to the white one, because that was of course totally racist.

You know what upon further thought (and reading the stuff y'all said) you're all right. I've been a tremendous jerk about this. There was absolutely no call for me making a judgement on ships like that. People should be allowed to ship what they want, my personal preferences and opinions shouldn't come into that.

I try to make it a point not to make dumb comments like this so I'm kind of disgusted at my own behavior. I will make an effort to stay in my lane next time and also not make judgmental comments! My sincere apologies.
