Still not sure if I will sign up or just treat. Although the likelihood of me treating will drop significantly if I don't sign up. OTOH not sure if I have the willpower currently to put together a sign up... the yuletide burn out is real.

I may look at the letters in a few weeks and keep an eye out for PHs but the prompts would have to be really good to make me feel in the mood to write.

Worse annoyances: people who are requesting my ships wrong, who I can't game away from because then I can't offer my ships.

I'm just hardly ever motivated to get involved with treating unless I'm already involved with the exchange as a participant. And I know I have fun when I'm involved and treating etc so I really should try and scrape together a sign-up....

That and someone has DNWed something that's central to the ship dynamic, so I'm not sure how to go about fulfilling their request even if I wanted to. It's like if they requested Humbert Humbert/Lolita but DNW age differences.

The pairing is rare enough that I don't want to name names, especially because the letter writer is generally a good egg. Sorry; I know how obnoxious vague-coaling is.

I'm just boggling and somewhat annoyed. Maybe I won't offer the ship and I'll just treat? I dunno.

It's not a canon pairing so it's open to a fair degree of interpretation, just... not this much.

Treating only doesn't work for me because I just want a gift of my own. It doesn't have to be an equal balance and it frequently isn't, but I don't mind writing multiple fics in exchange for one, I just want something in return.

I appreciate people willing to say this in namespace so I don't have to. I'm still bitter about the EAD regular who never commented on the gift I wrote them. I'd hope the reminders from others would nudge them to check their own gifts.

Not to my knowledge, no. K_Popsicle is sometimes active on EAD and pretty fun, and writes and requests non-nazi canons. I think they have socks, but Aquatics isn't one of them.
