Right? My DNW list has some pretty hard nos on it, but there are also some things that I just don't particularly want in my gift (maybe even just at that time), but I have nothing against, per se.

I DNW fluff, and recently got matched with someone who desperately only wanted fluff in an exchange, so I wrote fluff. I don't want it as my gift, but that doesn't mean I haven't written it or read it and enjoyed it other places.

Even if they did get a heads up, that might not make the requested want to change the DNW though.

Also what I request is not what I offer. No, I do not want my OTP to be eternal sadness noncon even though there is a way to write that as in character I’m sure. But yes, I will write your OTP that way.

Most of my DNWs are hard nos (2nd pov, character death, etc) that would make a fic unreadable and the others are stuff I would be pissed/sad to get as my only gift. If you are happy to have those things be your only gift, I can certainly write them for you.

Yuletide emphasis, but all exchanges welcome.

Maybe Extraordinary You. It's a really fun kdrama. I'm not quite done watching it, though, so idk what my feelings will be when I've finished.

Awaiting a rewatch but I'm thinking about The Silenced, a Korean film set in a girls' school. Last I checked in there was a single fic and it was groupchat, which is a horrible feeling.

Just two of the originals and one new one left! Surprised the Game of Thrones/Star Wars one hasn't been claimed, not exactly small fandoms!

Some of the people who are there all the time are really, really invested in getting their threads at the top of the first page.

Which is hilarious since it's anon. And it's usually the same ones, I notice.

It makes as much sense to me as the people who will watch a Youtube video and comment with FIRST! Who the fuck cares when you comment if you have nothing to say?

Happened to me not with comments but with a lot of kudos on a ten-year-old Good Omens fic last year. Can't wait for that fandom to die.

The only thing funnier than the early threadstarters are the ones who lose their mind over particular threads being first.

I have yet to see that happen, but I don't read most of the posts and replies that don't have subject lines that interest me.

There was an annoying period of wank when the Peter/Tony thread was first for a while. And there was another one before that, but now I forget.

Are the chocobox mods happy to pass on enquiries about DNWs etc from authors to recips the way that the yuletide mods are? I can't see anything about doing so in the FAQs.

I don't know, but it couldn't hurt to ask them, I'm sure.

I think it was pretty undeniable. If I'm not wrong, I think script nonny even got in touch with the mods and said they'd stop, having proved their point - and then did indeed stop.

As far as I can remember (or find on dememe) that was never confirmed. It's still possible that it was a mod or someone just very fast at posting.

I'm not sure how we would have found out about script nonnie contacting the mods anyways. Unless there was a script nonnie confession post but nothing like that is coming up on dememe. As far as I can tell the last time there was any major script nonnie conversation it was still all speculation and that was one theory.

I have completed one treat and started two more. Said finished treat could triple in length if I choose to go back to it, but it's satisfying where it is, too.

I'm not signed up so no assignment to worry about.
