You didn't even get it. It's not that aquatics requests "rare things." They're requesting a potentially really offensive niche kink and trying to force people into writing it by lingering as PH and also doing bait and switch recs.

The rarity is only an issue in that it means they pull nasty shit to try to get what they want because they can't get it any other way. If we're using rape as the equivalent, it'd be like someone signing up requesting only noncon to every freeform exchange where that was possible, except in this hypothetical scenario, no one else kinks on noncon.

I don't think that's what they're saying? Aquatics frequently has a full house of rare fandoms, meaning that all of them are equally difficult to access and "just write the one that isn't Nazi kink" isn't always an option for access reasons. It's also unlikely that we'll see this Pokemon request from them again, iirc someone has mentioned that once they get a fill for a non-Barr fandom they drop it.

Also, frankly, I don't want to write for them on the rare occasion they make a request that isn't for pure Germanic male relations. They're a racist creep. I doubt I'm alone here.

Fun fact, our contemporary usage of the word “racism” was pioneered in the thirties, to describe things like Nazism, so while it feels a little unnatural to Americans to use it that way, it is perfectly correct. (I know Europeans still maintain that as normal usage, but I suspect this confused coalie must be American.)
