I don’t understand why my friends care so much about writer reveals.

I think most people are excited for writer reveals because they get to find out what other people wrote and tell other people what they wrote. Do your friends care about reveals for some other reason?

Personally I want to check out the rest of their work when I love my gift!

Because then I can fucking talk about the story I fucking wrote, fuckface.

If it's so important to you to advertise that you have to swear this much, I'm betting that your fic got no comments and it was rather terrible.

Ah, I was right! Hopefully your subscribers come fawn over you in namespace where you know they're only doing it because of you and not the quality of your fic.

People like this have already told their followers. There's a BNF I used to follow who always told her friendslist what she wrote during the anon period. Her followers obediently went to whatever Yuletide-popular fandom she wrote for this time and upped her stats to above what the other stories had. She did this every year she didn't default. I can't even be mad. How bad of a writer do you have to be to stoop to fluffing your stats every year?

If stats can be fluffed then why do you consider them at all?

Personally, I don't when reading (usually because I check the tag in my fandoms pretty often and sort by last updated, so I catch most fics pretty early on before they accumulate kudos, hits, and comments), but sometimes when seeing your own versus a writer's who isn't that good... it hurts.

I hope this is a subtle clue you were one of the Succession writers.

Normal adults fucking swear sometimes, Karen. I'm sorry you grew up in a fundie or other repressed household but that's your damage.

I mean there's swearing sometimes, and then there's every other word is fuck. This was the latter.

I want to subscribe to my recip's DW because we share the same perspective on the fandom I wrote them.
