What fics have you liked with a horror or creepy vibe, coal? Here are a few I liked:
The Rotten Heart - Behind You (webcomic). Casefic with a creepy spirit in a decaying town.

A Solitary Death - The Bone Key (Sarah Monette). Casefic with an ancient Greek vampire-thing.

Blood, Cubed - The Perfection. IDK if this counts, exactly, but it's fucked-up post-canon fluff for a horror movie.

I've kind of skimmed the horror tag, but I would love specific recs for stuff in it, or for other creepy fic that didn't get tagged that way.

Have you checked out Crueltide?

Yeah, but there were only eight fics in the tag, and a lot of them leaned more towards the noncon or fucked-up relationship end of things than the horror end.

Lippy Kids - The Smoke, George/Dennis

This isn't horror, but it's definitely creepy, with friendship power imbalances and George doing a lot of fucked up things. It's for a tv show, but it's pre-canon so you don't even really need canon knowledge. Really good.
