...Cheating a little bit because one of them has exactly 10, but I really liked both the Kraken fics this year (both of them are Billy/Dane):

The first one hit a lot of my mpreg buttons, even without a lot of detail. I liked it a lot.

I really liked this Sunless Skies fic: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/yuletide2019/works/21797185 (4.7k, gen). The character voices are great, and it captures the tone of canon very well.

The formatting, though. D:

Can anyone explain why the first paragraphs of each section aren’t indented? Is it an HTML failure or is it aping some lit style I’m not aware of.

I hate indenting but if all the fic uses it I can deal, but this is weird.

This Hilda The Plus-Sized Pin-Up fic is pretty cute and only has 3 kudos, plus you don't need to know a fandom (beyond looking at a pic)

Yeah, it's cute alright with just a tiny, cutesy surprise mention of child pornography and a pedophilic clientele. Nothing explicit but enough to feel like a punch in the gut if you're easily triggered by that. I was going to kudos but then I couldn't back button fast enough.

Skimmed it to see if you were being unkind but uh....that was a choice the author sure made. I don’t get what the insinuation even is...why would the pedophiles come visit!?! Is she letting them fap to the photos in person or something?

I agree, it's very good. I also liked the other story from "The Lottery," which goes in a completely different direction.

If the author of "The Firth" happens to be here, FYI, the word is "lose," not "loose," and "firth" is spelled "frith" the first time it's mentioned.
