Americans have had to deal with 9/11 terrorism porn peddled across something like fifty movies by now and politicians that fuck over first responders and soldiers trotting it out at minimum twice a year.

Americans also birthed the KKK, which is where Nazis pulled a good majority of their bullshit from.

They are also dealing with a huge revival of Nazism and have an actual Nazi as president.

I don't either. I was born here by accident of birth. I heavily criticize my country because it should be better. I don't pledge blind allegiance to a nation simply because this is where I was squirted out.

Right? Everywhere sucks but we are all in this together and have to hold each other accountable within out countries as much as outside them. What happens in China is as bad as America is as bad as Australia. We have to do what we can to make our countries be less shitty and support people in similar situations abroad. That is just objectively not true, though. Two of those countries put immigrants in concentration camps. The other one is engaged in an actual genocide. These things are all bad, but they're not comparable.

Show us where the US are imprisoning 1.5 million uyghurs then.

Yep. I encourage everyone to watch the documentary The 13th Amendment. It still only scratches the surface, but it's eye-opening. We got rid of slavery 1.0 I guess, but this country is still steeped in the worst kind of racism. And as a white woman, I promise you that most feminism here is really only about white women, which is why I can't even claim it. I was naive and didn't think that for a long time, and have had my eyes really opened to that in the last couple of years. It's for a certain type of woman, and that's about it. (I'm bisexual, so it's really not for me either.)

We've made great strides compared to where we used to be, but we have so fucking far to go. We need to make America great . . . in a way it's never been before.

There are 2.2 million people in the US prison system. Almost 400k people are in those awful ICE camps. Governments fucking suck and it isn’t specific to any country.
