Digging into it a little bit, I think the third may have been actual spite fic.

I'm 99% sure the fic was for someone who requested any of the four nominated characters (none of which are Lloyd), made it super clear that they don't want any focus on the m/f, and left a bunch of prompts for both f/f and gen. About the m/f pairing they got fic for, they say "Breaking them up would also be fine, especially Karen/Lloyd." and "Honestly, I'd really like Karen to just give Lloyd what for. He really screwed her over and I'd love her to be furious about it."

And then they got a fic where a massive part of it is about Karen making up with Lloyd, with no real anger or even a confrontation. The fic ends by confirming that Karen and Margo are definitely married women and very happy about it.

If it weren't for the lack of author's notes, I would guess it was written by a Watson.

What the hell. What's the fandom situation there? Is it big enough to have that kind of wanky ship war? Or does this person just hate femmeslash?

Only ten works in the fandom. My guess is someone with catastrophically bad judgement and/or spitefic.

It's a tiny fandom but a very famous classic movie — the people who are into it are either all about the Golden Age of Hollywood nostalgia, or they enjoy the intensely homoerotic undertones. (It's one of the few works that I feel like actually deserves the term "queer-coded": https://www.indiewire.com/2014/04/haysd-decoding-the-classics-all-about-eve-214312/)

If I had to guess, I'd say that the author is a socially conservative member of the former camp, who resents those in the latter camp.
