I think it depends on what you mean and how you say it, because the example the coalie above me gave is definitely What Not To Do. Don't make it sound like what you've written is in any way incomplete or not what you would have written if you'd had more time.

If you wrote something and it was an AU and you mentioned something about continuing the verse, I wouldn't think that would be so bad. A lot of times, even if I'm thinking it, I let commenters bring up writing more rather than propose it myself.
