If I wrote that, I would genuinely mean both. But if you coalie are really just as happy writing both, I'd go with A since it seems like you think that that's what they really want, and so it'll just be less stress for you during the writing period

Mostly I'm basing this on the fact that A is listed first. Personally, I would always list the thing I want more first. But "can definitely happen" also has that tone of "I assume this is why you offered this in the first place" which is why I've been staring at it for so long.

But you're right, I should probably just stick to my gut and go with A.

yeah I think this goes with what the person above said about fanon. If I wrote this, I'd probably have written A as something fanon-y that I like and would love getting and think is the more obvious thing, but would also love a take on B. Again, I'd be happy with either, so do what you want between these two! I'm sure your recip will love it

I think I'd need more context. But they probably either want them both equally, or want whichever one seems less "conventional" more.

Yeah honestly while this thread is helpful sometimes, unless your recip comments on it, you're never going to ACTUALLY know what it is your recip was thinking, so I would just go with your gut on this one. It sounds like they'll be happy with either and you'll be happy writing either so just pick one and stick to that and try not to overthink it (easier said than done I know)
