lol-meme wrote for wankers i think. the person who wrote the ff-d spitefic waiting for letters fic was a nonnie who couldn’t help but show off their cleverness and posted a sample, which is why the mods kicked it from the collection and got her a ph allegedly. ffa is too wanky to have ever successfully managed a group sign up.

Write dnw fic, get called out, change it so the same dnw is violated but in a different way = the recip won’t get an eph and the author isn’t banned.

Yuletide mods protect bad actors and punish recips. It’s been that way for a long time.

kittyfic is only a thing because the mods kept giving kitty phs even though they knew she was going off of wiki

flipflop diva got extremely tame spitefic and the mods got her an EPH which i don’t even think she commented on (which she has since done more than one iirc). why didn’t her author get a chance to ~edit the fic, i wonder, but recips without drama have to stick with whatever their author gave them?

What's the story with flipflopdiva? This is my first year on coal, all the other years I've just followed the official community and never really paid attention to this stuff but WOW it seems like there's a lot of drama? Also I guess people don't like the mods?

How would we know if someone was banned though? Obviously Untherius isn't banned because he was allowed to sign up. But AFAIK shayheyred never signed up or pinch hit for Yuletide after that year did she? Also ars_belli fucked off so odds are they either got bored of trolling or were told to leave.

Because these people (him, ff_d, the nazi for many years, rosefox, shay, the chick who signed up late annually, etc) are all regulars in the Yuletide cast. If they disappeared or were forced to show up with a new account that would be something, but they're all still here and almost every year they end up doing something fucked up that should get them banned anew.
