They almost definitely were, since they were requesting the Endgame Series by James Frey. There were three Endgame requests in the signup summary, but there are no requests showing now.

I am on some level impressed by this person's persistent inability to grasp that it would be easier to get what they want if they just game for it legitimately and don't try to cheat.

Make one (1) signup with Endgame and two obscure but real German novels! You will almost certainly get the Endgame fic!

Someone nominated a pair of obscure German fandoms that the mods couldn't find any information on, since the nominator had apparently just made them up to pad their requests. The nominator wrote some short ficlets in an effort to support the ruse, and of course what happens when other people discover that you've made up a fake fandom is that they start building on it and writing their own fic for it too.
