Definitely not. I think DID is a real thing, though health professionals don't agree on that. But I don't think this is how DID ever manifests. Fictives always come off as teenagers with big imaginations who are being discouraged from having those big imaginations. That said, this person seems mostly harmless if an oversharer and not a great Yuletide assignment.

As someone completely out of the loop, can you explain what a fictive is?

Either a DID alter based on a fictional character, or a fictional character somebody decides they want to LARP as. Depends on the person, whether one believes DID/multiplicity is even a thing, etc.

You have to use a definition that means "I have 17 OCs/imaginary friends, and sometimes larping as them helps me deal with my issues".
