It feels a little different this year because I've already been in small fandoms all year this year, which is new. Also, I'm pretty burned out from FIAB, which I haven't done before. The noms/signups process has been as exciting as usual, though. I'm really excited about the tagset.

I picked up the old book from my library and I'm rooting around for the former yougoslavian movie because they're genuinely interesting to me

But also I'm not grabbing them specifically because I don't want to default later on if my mojo fails me, as it so unpredictably does.

No. If you go off the cutscene movies, Black Panther is about the same length as Squid Game at around 7-8 hours total. Shenmue and Judgment are both much longer than that.

no prompts, not even a DNW list. Plus characters for 2/4 fandoms are "any". And of course those two fandoms are the ones we matched on.

yeah, it's weird seeing them linger to be sure, since in the past you could barely read pinch hits before they got snapped up. But it's felt off to me even before that so idk.
