+1 I'd find it weird, rude and extremely entitled tbh. Like someone else mentioned, whether or not it's a gift, it's still the writer's story. It's for them to decide whether or not they want to archive lock it.

Yes, it's not unusual for smaller RPF communities to lock down completely so that they're invisible to anyone who doesn't already know what they're looking for.

Absolutely not. You can archive lock your own fic, but I think even that's frowned upon until after reveals.

Also, if you search for Yuletide on both tumblr and twitter, it doesn't always work, but it typically does right after something big happens in the fest. So right after assignments go out, the collection opens, reveals, etc.

Definitely the former. I honestly can't count the amount of times I've been assigned someone I talk to on the regular in various fests, and I always write what gives me away once the collections open. The fun is keeping it secret till that day and then getting the I KNOW THIS IS YOU messages, not trying to maintain anonymity till authors are revealed.

I have a particular itch to write wingfic ft. Hot Cloaca Action with or without duck dicks. Just in case anyone has seen that obscurely specific request in the wild or knows of a person who wo enjoy it.

SO MANY CREATURES. HAVE TWO OR MORE PEENS. OF VARYING LEVELS OF BIZARREITUDE. Why did fandom settle on dog dicks when there are so many other options?! Go Google "wombat penis" if you don't believe me.

Definitely not. I think DID is a real thing, though health professionals don't agree on that. But I don't think this is how DID ever manifests. Fictives always come off as teenagers with big imaginations who are being discouraged from having those big imaginations. That said, this person seems mostly harmless if an oversharer and not a great Yuletide assignment.

-1 It's reasonable for a writer to choose to do. It's completely unreasonable for a recipient to ask for it.
