Someone would request Damar. Someone would request Happy Endings. The requesters for Burnt would post their letters. Kate Bishop would get more love than in the posted Hawkeye requests. If someone has requested Father Roche in the Oxford Time Travel series, they would post their letters. That I had the energy to re-read The Night Circus because I like those worldbuilding prompts.

+1, as someone who said they found it confusing and would find it stressful to figure out what you meant in many of my book fandoms. If it was a canon-specific DNW for books with a very specific voice, it would make more sense to me. I’d also recommend making it clear that you mean pastiche in reference to the voice and not as a canon-typical story in terms of plot.

Might be anonymity-related as well. If you see yourself go out in a relatively small batch of pinch hits and that other writer from your fandom of two immediately posts to declare they just claimed one, you can probably guess what you're getting and who from.

That’s a valid guess, but every participant could default at any time and still get a gift, and I don’t think the pinch hitter prompts get a lot of response as it is.

It's not a good DNW for some people. Almost every DNW is not a good DNW for some people, including yours. (Unless you have no DNWs. Which is also bad in the eyes of some people.)

If someone is interested in conlangs as part of their worldbuilding I might throw a little in, but I couldn't write a full-length fic in any non-English language.
