Yuletide Weather Forecast:

Temperatures are estimated to fluctuate between active panic and total apathy into the next weekend. Need to finish ending rewrite on my assignment. Have a fun little treat I'll push out tomorrow. :)

+1 treat idea, so 2 more to start and finish by tomorrow. Would love to find a third, but it doesn't look like my year for prompts: the paintings in the five minute fandoms don't inspire me, which I'd hoped would. Anyone have suggestions for porn I could write for fandoms I can pick up in less than 10 minutes?

Trying to push this 4k bus-pass assignment into the 6k polished gift it could, theoretically, be.

Trying to find a good resolution for this first treat.

Trying to figure out how to start this second treat.

Was finished and peaceful and intending to start treats ... and then picked up a friend's late pinch hit. 600 words down, hopefully not too many to go!

Two fics posted... and I haven't looked at them since I finished the drafts. I know they aren't in ideal shape but I am struggling so hard to find the motivation to edit them. Uggggh.

Finished with my assignment but not thrilled about it; finished with another treat; working on too damn many other treats that will absolutely not all make it in by deadline.

My assignment probably only needs an hour or so more of work. Have I touched it since the deadline? Of course not.

A few thousand words into this treat, and the two main characters are about to actually meet each other! I really hope I can finish in time...

Finished ages ago, not giving or receiving treats this year and okay with that, dying for my assignment to get read but trying to manage my expectations, pretty sure I know who wrote my gift and that it’ll be a good one! Reveals NOW please!

main gift is fully written and been gone over by two separate betas but still doesn't have a title.

i was trying to write a plotty treat but knew i wouldn't get in done in time so i just polished/expanded the sex scene into a pwp and if my friend likes it i'll write the rest as a sequel for them in the new year.

now trawling the app for prompts for additional shorter treats. i'm pandemic unemployed so gotta fill my days somehow.

PH to edit and a small madness treat still to write.

Not participating this year beyond treating. Managed one, would have liked to do more but just ran out of time. However, I'm pretty happy with what I posted and really hope the recipient likes it.

I'm done with the bus pass version so now I'm just waiting for my beta gets back to me like they promised. I trust them to do so, so I'm just chilling. Thought I had an idea f or a treat but it's not working, so I'm trying to finish a long-running WIP before the end of the year instead.

Debating one last treat, for a PH I saw (after someone had already claimed it). Or maybe going trawling for recips with no treats, not sure. Just feeling kind of twitchy and restless for reveals and want a distraction.

I'm satisfied with all the fics I wrote except the PH I finished last night. Something about it just feels meh-ish to me; I kinda "forced" it a bit to fit the recip's prompt and it feels off.

I think I'm going to sleep on it and if it still doesn't work for me in the morning, I'll try again.

In the past week my 15K bus pass has expanded to nearly twice that word count, and I'm still 4 scenes away from having it polished up. It has to be done by 10 tomorrow morning because that's when family madness descends.

Work went from 1k to 3k and it's still missing a scene. It just didn't feel shippy enough, so I kept adding to it...

Finally finished making minor tweaks/fixes to my giftfic this morning! A little nervous because no one else has read it; it's way too long for a beta this late in the game (30k lol) but hoping my recip's happy. Toying with the idea of writing a couple treats now.

Me: "At last, an idea for a short and simple last-minute treat that I actually stand a chance of getting written in one day!"
Also me: "Now to spend half an hour of research on every random throwaway reference in this fic for a comedy canon where no one cares about the historical accuracy anyway."

238 more words and this treat is long enough for the main collection, aaaagh.
