If Valjean is so determined to live as a man that he'd rather go to a horrible forced labor camp than admit that he's AFAB and take the lighter woman's sentence, letting him do the thing he wants to do is not a punishment. The bagne is worse across multiple dimensions - like, forget rape, although that's obviously a serious risk too; the major problem is death - but treating a trans person like you would any other member of their gender isn't some kind of special penalty.

It would never happen, in part because it's 1796 and no one cares about a convicted felon's gender identity and in part because the bagne is not going to want to deal with the rape risk. But this framing of it makes no sense.

Ok, that's a nice start, I can use scripts, but I already knew that was technically possible. I am not a techie enough person to have any clue where to start with creating a script that can do this, would you give further instructions please?
