+1; what I write can be very different to what I want to read, and my bookmarks are all for megafandoms, with my yuletide sized fandoms there's often nothing to bookmark or reblog. But what I like varies greatly depending on the canon, that's why the letter talks about what I like for the canons I'm requesting, basing a fic on what I bookmarked in completely different fandoms is really unlikely to lead to a fic I'd love

Depends on the fandoms. I know some teens who started in Naruto fandom on FFN who are only now moving to AO3, for example.

I am officially no longer updating the 2020 self-reported nominations/approved nominations spreadsheet. I want to thank all the coalies that participated by reporting their nominations and helping make this spreadsheet such a success. Would anyone be interested in a little coal drabble challenge to get back into writing before yuletide?

I'd post three themes or one-word prompts each day and coalies (including me, hah) could post drabbles of any fandom in response. Hardmode: actual drabbles of 100 words exactly.
Easy mode: short ficlets of something vaguely defined as short.

Yep. Back in my HP fandom days, a bunch of exchange mods had a private community where we would talk about various participants and warn each other about potential problems they might cause, including likelihood to default.

I would love this. Everything I've written recently has just seemed like trash, and it's hard to try fixing it alone. Writing drabbles along with other coalies could be a fun exercise.

Meanwhile, the Dark Crystal fandom didn't pipe the Skeksis and urRu names, when doing so would have been entirely reasonable.

We have characters referred to consistently by their titles rather than their (extremely similar) real names. So of course we'll canonize the names rather than the titles or the pipes.

So we have skekTek and skekEkt in the tagset, even though they're called the Scientist and the Ornamentalist basically all the time and that's so much easier to remember.

But to answer your question: No, I don't stalk or "stalk" people in real life.

I do have a fantastic memory for things people around me like, off-hand mentions of nichey preferences, interests and favorites, and hyperfocus on sourcing the perfect gift for the person I'm gifting. Sorry if you think that's creepy, I guess?
