Collection’s open. Sucks for whoever’s still on the PH list. Maybe their pinch hitters got extensions?

I don't think there are outstanding pinch hits. On one older post, there are two not marked as claimed, but one carried over to the next post and got marked as claimed there, and the other didn't carry over so I assume there were claimed too.

Collections open! What are people reading and what are people recommending?

How was it?

I didn’t get any treats and didn’t expect to, and I’m happy that my gift and the gift I wrote are both about the same length. It’s very satisfying. Riches abound in my fandoms but I won’t be able to sit down to read and comment on all that catches my eye for another 5 hours. I suspect tomorrow will be better for feedback on the receiving end.

My gift is a POV I didn't want but otherwise ok I guess.

My eyes just about bugged out of my head when I saw the 18k of Takeru Suffering in Digimon Adventure 02. I’m making slow progress stealing glances at it until I can sit with it properly but I really like the character voices so far. It’s iddy as fuck, and I’m in awe.

Out of their 3 fics, my recip likes mine best. The others were lovely, and recip thought they were too, but they gushed over-the-top love for mine and I am so happy (and just a little bit smug too!) :D

Is it too early to despair about getting no comments so obviously everyone hates it?

Yes! My recip has only just shown up. I'm sure lots of people will only get a chance to read over the weekend.

I got an absolutely amazing gift fic of my dreams but it's niche in style and a rarepair in a small fandom. I want other people to love it and kudos and comment and am pouting about how it is languishing at the bottom of it's fandom rank.

I mean...rec it? Your author will probably be really happy and someone else may give it a chance. We had like 5 people break anon to hype their rarefandom gifts of their heart and I haven’t seen any wank over them for it.

Any original works recs?

Comments are coming slow this time around. I haven't even heard from a single recipient yet, and I did a lot of treats. So I wouldn't worry.

I got a main story and a treat for the same rare pair, and they're both beautiful and exactly what I wanted. They obviously wrote based on my likes/prompts, and I'm so happy.

My recips said they loved what I wrote for them, and I had a blast writing the stories.

Had a good, good time! Now I'm looking for other RTMI stories in the collection and trying to decide whether to sign up for smut4smut.

For any Life with Derek, Derek/Casey fans, both In Truth (and Otherwise) and Two-Step are wonderful long fic stories.

There was a request I was really really hoping would end up an IPH, and it did, and I got it. \:D/!

Congrats! As someone who got claimed, I love that you feel that way and I hope it's me! (I'm sure it's not, but if it is then yay!)

Happy with my assignment! Not sure exactly how I'm gonna make it work, but hopefully a plot will invent itself soon.

I was initially on the fence about my assignment due to being unsure of my own ability to write what they want. But, as I've thought more about it, I think that I see a path forward to the story that they're wanting. Hopefully it meets their expectation!
