There definitely are people who are horrifically bigoted, but it's a much smaller percentage of the group that get the label, and it's very easy to get called that without being transphobic at all. I don't consider it a useful term. Don't tell me someone's a terf, tell me what they actually said or did.

There are 6 PIFU pinch hits that have been unclaimed since Dec 16, with one reminder on Dec 23 and nothing since.

(Hope the CB ones do go soon as well though, the person earlier said #2 is also easily accessible.)

It's not surprising there are lingering pinch hits when there are only 50 participants. Probably once they advertise those around other places, they'll get picked up. FFA and maybe the fandomcalendar thing or other similar places will get them the Phitters they need.

(One of the reasons I avoid small exchanges is that so many people don't follow through, and pinch hitters are much harder to come by than for something like Yuletide or CB. I looked at these PHs, but I can't write any of them.)

Yes I looked at them too, I know one of the fandoms well enough to write for, and I like the chosen freeforms, but I can't do the requested pairing.

I aimed for Hirschfeld caricature, flunked and ended up a pretty standard style. Disappointed a little but I've not drawn a single thing in years so it's still a milestone. As a side effect of the whole not drawing thing I've not got any of the pens I want so it's sticking as pencil for a while until I can get into town.

Urgh, this reminds me of that supreme asshole spikedluv so much. There was a recent Venom exchange that did the same thing too, and I really hate to see this style of modding get more popular.

Huh? I haven't done an exchange run by spikedluv but all the interactions I've had with them otherwise have been excellent.

They can be a bit of a control freak over their comms, I remember wank when they left Numbers fandom and shut down their popular com rather than letting them continue under other mods. And in another tiny fandom they set up new redundant coms so they could have control rather than using existing ones. The smallfandom fest they've run for years never seems wanky, but it doesn't seem that popular either, honestly I think it might get more traction if they weeded out the old prompts from the spreadsheet, or had some better organisation. But the only minor wank I remember was when they posted Teen Wolf fic at one of their small fandom comms right after they got into it, but that was more people laughing at them, than them being an arsehole
