You've commented on a fic I wrote, but you haven't commented on your gift. And I think I know why: it is weird. Not bad, exactly. Technically competent writing, by which I mean "could've been beautiful and profound in another context, but a poor match for this canon," and the author's notes at the end hit multiple personal pet peeves. Based on the requests spreadsheet, it doesn't appear to be what you wanted. My fic wasn't what you wanted either, but you seemed to like it nonetheless.

I hope that either a) you liked your gift a lot better than I did and are simply taking your time working out the Gushing Comment It Deserves, or b) you didn't, but my fic helped salvage things.

I normally wouldn't notice but they were posting on Discord about not yet commenting on their gifts which, fair enough. But if it were me I would be maintaining a low profile until I'd done so.
