Yeah, and for things like the collection opening being delayed, I tend to get emails for DW posts with headers like "Collection Opening Being Delayed", so I'm still notified. I don't expect the time on the AO3 having been wrong in the first place, without an update to the community that tells me so.

From the time the dates were announced at the start of October they have been placeholders on AO3. That is why this only got changed last night apparently.

Yuletide always does reveals at the same time the collection opened, regardless. This should have been your first clue to suspect something was off.

When you got the notification for the last mod post and read it, you would have seen the countdown explanation.

Yes, I absolutely should have kept a watch on when this exchange is revealed several times in a row. There is no way I might be a newbie, someone who only participates every other year, or simply someone who doesn't keep a close eye on times and then remembers them for an entire year.

Fuck, I hate exchange fandom sometimes.

So you kept a close enough eye to know it has been 12am for a while, but you didn’t check again today to see it had changed...and this is somehow Yuletide’s fault/Yuletide tricking you?

Ok.
