Are these set lists where there's a cutoff i.e. write x amount of ships to be deemed prolific? Or is it just arbitrary?

3+ fics = Prolific
10k+ on a single fic = Longfic

Those numbers are arbitrary in that they’re the ones we agreed on back in 2012 or w/e it was. It’s a New Year and a new coal: what numbers do you think work better coalie? 2+ fics? 5k? 5+ fics? 20k?

These numbers work for me! I wrote one fic that juuuuust cracked 10k so I'm happy!

I personally think 2+ fics should be prolific, but it lowers the bar to count a single PH and would require more effort to compile the list. If codie will be making the list this year then I would like to see 2+? If we’re doing it by hand still then 3+ makes sense.

I don't think 2 should be called prolific. It's still great but it's not prolific.

In ToT/CB I would agree but the percentage of Yuletiders that treat are so low I think the 2 writers deserve some credit because the average is 1. But it isn’t a hill I’m willing to die on.

This is why last year's main collection bonus list is entirely roll your own adventure, because it's proven impossible for agreement to be had on what is prolific/longfic/etc etc

I'm new but those original numbers look good to me. Do the lists go in order eg. With prolific having whoever writes 20 at the top and whoever writes 3 at the bottom?

Usually yes but it depends on who writes it. Some people sort by ABC order so it will be Anne - 3, Bob - 20, Chris - 6, etc.

We used to have “years running” lists to help narrow things down further, e.g Prolific in 2017 + 2018 + 2019 but that seems to have died out.

We usually do single year combination lists instead now. So “Prolific + Longfic” and “Prolific + Longfic + Good Egg”
