If you want them to use that date style because you want it to become the norm, then just say that. Trying to use this angle with this date just makes you look too stupid to help.

It isn't the norm in exchanges, which is why this occasionally shows up.

It's a good troll attempt if that's what you were going for, but if you're serious then "Oh no I can't tell if this date starting in 1, about a thing starting in January, is January or April oh no" is a very transparently stupid way of trying to manipulate someone into doing it your way. Just ask them to do it that way next time, instead of acting like they have to change to cater to your helplessness.

Not trolling. I'm used to seeing dates written dd/mm, and the mod had previously suggested putting posts up at the start of each quarter, so I had to backtrack to figure out what they meant. I figured it out, but I made a suggestion for clarity - nothing to get aggro about.
