Going back to comment again?

So I spent the last few days in the hospital and not wanting my writer to feel like I didn’t read their fic I left a quick comment on my gift fic after reading it in the hospital but obviously not having enough energy to leave a full comment in hind sight it is Very short. Would it be weird or taboo to go back and edit my comment with more thoughts a few days later?

Personally I'd be very happy to get more comments from my recip, but you might as well just make a new comment instead of editing your old one. Then they get the thrill of another comment alert!

Just reply to your old comment saying you’ve been thinking about it more and add what else you have to say.

It would be a wonderful thing for you to do. You could also add a second comment, and then your writer would have multiple comments from you.

First of all, I hope you're feeling better, coalie! I think your writer would be delighted to hear more from you, don't hesitate to edit and add more, or even to another comment. It would be a great feeling to know that the recipient was still thinking about their gift and wanted to share more thoughts about it.

Not weird at all! I would add to it (i.e. post a new comment in response to your existing one) in case they miss this notif. You can say "I've just come back to this and I want to add...", there's no need to go into the "why" imo.

Glad you're feeling better!

Not weird, but adding to the comments recommending doing it as a separate comment instead of editing.
