No, because what happens to me every year no matter what fandom I write in, is every story gets recced by mine. Even in the "I read every single story in this fandom and found hidden gems" posts. Joke's on them, two of my Yuletide fics went on to become the most popular in different small fandoms. But there's a definite clique.

Clique? It's an anonymous exchange. I mean, maybe you have a distinctive style that many people enjoy, but not the two or three of them that are actively writing rec lists and are into your fandom. But if your theory is that people are secretly de-anoning to rec each other's work, all except yours, that's a mighty fine tin foil hat you're wearing.

If it's happening that consistently, while anonymous, then I don't think "secret de-anoning clique" is the likeliest explanation here.

+1, lol. Coal has told other coalies to re-evaluate their writing for less, so I'm just saying... Maybe look to that, first.

I don't want to be That Coalie, but, uh...

It may even be that there's nothing wrong with your writing and your tastes just don't happen to align with the reccers. But you're probably not being missed off the rec lists because of some secret cabal.
