Would any coalies be interested if I set up an anon comm for chocolate box? I wanna keep the coalie spirit alive and it seems like there's a lot of crossover.

I doubt you'd get enough traffic to keep a separate comm going. I'm fine to talk about it here, or if not I'll be on ffa talking about it.

+1 Yuletide has a critical mass that isn’t exclusively fandom-related. Chocolate Box doesn’t seem to be there yet.

CB and ToT could POSSIBLY warrant a shared comm on their own but imo at that point you should just make a “And the Rest” companion to coaltide for ALL non-Yuletide exchanges...or make the exchange-only anon comm FFA has talked about for ages which I don’t think will ever happen/work.

You'd probably be better off with a more general anon comm to cover all of the smaller exchanges, or even just an "other exchanges" post here, if coalcube would be amenable to sticking one up for people to hang out in after Yuletide season is over.

Nah, but it might just be nice to have a fresh post so people don't run up against the commenting limit between Yuletides when there's no one around to make a new one.

I am undecided on if I want to make a final new post for author reveals, but I was planning on putting up a post once every quarter for people to use for misc discussion.

My tentative plan is: January post, April post, July post, October post. If traffic dies off, the January post can be the off-season catch-all or I’ll only do one more fresh post (June) before YuleSeason.

Since the comm is paid throughout the year it would be a shame to waste it. “coaltide” is pretty exchange agnostic anyway. Thank you for bringing it up though.

I just hate FFA and never even look at it outside Yuletide, so a post here for other exchanges would be FAB.
