I only know Don't Trust the B in Apt 23, so that's the only one I read, but it was fantastic! It's not a fandom I usually click on so thanks for sharing it here.

Very welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed! FWIW I tried to pick four fics that would be accessible without knowing the fandoms if you do decide to try the others.

I gave the others a shot!

The Prom: I've never heard of this fandom, but the story was a cute look at first teenage love. It stands alone well.

Legally Blonde: It's a bit too fluffy and lacking in tension for me.

Anne of Green Gables: It feels kind of like a missing scene? I thought the pacing was off, though. Too much happened in too few words to really make it stand alone.

Drive-by coalie here

Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 - I don't know the fandom and I think that was a problem, because part 1 lost me completely. I had to read it twice to work out who was doing what. The rest of the story is competently written, but the dialogue is just too...Idk, artificial? It feels scripted and kind of unnatural. But that may be down to the canon tone, in which case it's just not a canon for me.

The Prom - I don't know the canon and I don't think it's something I would be interested in checking out. The plot feels really unoriginal. But I did like the connection Alyssa had with Emma, and her crush was very convincing. It's a lightweight, easy story that didn't ask much from me. But I did enjoy it!

Legally Blonde - My favorite of the lot! It's very sweet, the tension feels authentic, and I was really cheering Vivian on. I'm still feeling warm and fuzzy after closing the tab. I definitely recommend this one!

Anne of Green Gables - I really didn't like it. There was probably a solid story idea behind it, but it's too short for what it could have been. Too many time skips, no lingering on any one scene.
