Sorry but LOL. I know you have a grudge but is it seriously bad form for them to hype up their gift? The PHer maybe had to pick up a fandom to write it, and from your POV they took a bullet/helped make sure the collection wasn't ~held hostage.

AYRT is either aquatics being a good recip by de-anoning to rec their gift, which is more than the majority of coal is willing to do based on all the OMG MY GIFTS IS AMAZING and then crickets when asked for links/hints - or, they are a random driveby rubbernecker reporting back on earlier wank and reccing the work of the author, which is again more than the majority "I found good fic in the wild" coalies do, as evidenced by the crickets when asked for links on those vague comments.

Do you seriously think bringing wank to the gifts will help your cause at all? If people worry that they'll have wank by association, the PHs will dry up and then you really will have exchanges delayed for days on end.

Who cares if it is aquatics. If it is, good for them talking about a fic they like and have wanted for a long time. If it isn't, I'm glad to know that they did get the fic since aquatics gets mentioned here and on FFA so damn often.
