Considering they have multiple treats and it's all of two days after Christmas, maybe they haven't gotten to yours yet.

Yeah, this is a real possibility. I was going to complain about my recip, who has gifts from multiple holiday exchanges sitting un-commented-on, but I just checked and their latest comment two days ago suggests they've been having a rough season. Now I just hope they're all right.

Sometimes life sucks, or people get busy, especially in late December. Unless you actually get a "thx for writing" from someone who leaves multiple paragraphs, or a quiet gift rejection, I wouldn't assume you're being blown off.

I don't get this. Of course people might only get to reading their exchange gifts after the holidays. Lots of people are going away until after NYE, or busy with their families. I'm not blaming anyone for not responding within 2 or 3 days, especially around Christmas.

As someone who has gotten multiple treats at a time when I was not able to reply to all of them at once, it's always hard to chose between holding back your comments (and forcing the writers who wrote what you read first to wait) vs. commenting as you read (and potentially upsetting the writers who you get to later). I tend to go with the former and try to read in an "objective" order (normally length, shortest-->longest) and hope my writers understand.

NA

Honestly watching as my recip slowly comments their way through their other fic has been a lot of fun. It's sort of like watching someone unwrap things! I'm expecting I'll get a comment sometime this weekend.

I'm confident that my recip will love what I gave them though (it's the first time I've written for them, but they comment on my fic for this pairing all the time and I know they love this trope), so that probably gives me a different mindset on waiting than someone nervous would have.
