DC - maybe it wasn't phrased cult-of-nicey, but they got "thank you for writing for me" and single digit kudos compared to triple digit kudos? I can see their point.

There are no fandoms with two fics where one has triple digit kudos and one has single. I'm confused or they're exaggerating.

Maybe "the other fic in the fandom" means that this is literally a two-work fandom; it could be from a previous Yuletide, or Be The First??

I assume they fudged the details to make it harder to find because otherwise that would be pretty easy. I'm guessing the fandom has more than two fics.
