I have been gaming offers hard for a few Yuletides now (which is a fucking nightmare without visible requests), and it's such a relief not to get a total mismatch for an assignment.

CYRT. Exactly. It's not so much getting the "perfect" assignment as avoiding ones that would be bad for both me and my recipient.

It's a little of both for me. I only offer fandoms if I can see all the requests and would genuinely like to write them. It means having to delete/switch out offers as soon as someone without a letter signs up, but it's worth it.
