I am so sorry I haven't commented yet. I've spent a good chunk of the time since the collection has revealed in the hospital (not for me, but for a family member) and I haven't had the energy to write you the comment you deserve. If I can't get it done by tonight, I'll leave you all formal placeholders, but I try to avoid doing that for personal-psychological reasons (things feel more urgent if I haven't publically made an excuse. Because this isn't actually given to the folks in question, I don't think it'll have the same effect.)

I also want to say that this has been a shitty Christmas, but just knowing that people wrote me these gifts/skimming them a little has made it better. Two years ago on December 26, my brother got diagnosed with MS; last year on December 26, my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer. This year it isn't anything that bad, but my family is considering canceling Christmas, no lie. I didn't do Yuletide the previous two years and maybe this is selfish considering I haven't had the chance to be the best recip I could be, but I am so grateful I did it this year. I'm truly touched y'all went out of your way to give me beautiful things in these rare book/literature fandoms.

You may not be here (or even know if this is in fact your recip), but I just felt the need to say something with at least a veneer of anonymity, because I'm feeling all sorts of things.
