No, you clearly come here to work off your frustration. Which you might have less of if you weren't faking joy over gifts you hate, perhaps.

I mean, there's a difference between faking joy and a polite thank you before moving on with your life, but okay.

Fair enough, I just feel that I'd rather have a recip reject my fic than politely thank me when it's clear they didn't like it. (Caveat: I never had anyone reject my gifts, but I did get the polite thank you once or twice and a prolific commenter not commenting at all and, boy, it sucked. I'm 99% sure I'd rather they rejected the gift.)

Mostly, though, I feel like this argument isn't worth calling people shitty and a dick, not even on meme.

Everyone's mileage varies. I'd rather my recip didn't comment or kudo than reject my fic outright.

I get that. That's why I think insulting people who feel differently is uncalled for.

I had a non commenting recip in a recent non-Yuletide exchange and I wish they'd reject it already. I'm tempted to take their name off the fic myself, to be honest.

Having gone through something similar, just take their name off it, coalie. It's your account and you should curate it in a way that makes you feel comfortable. They won't notice or care and you will feel SO much better. Seriously.
