It’s been 25 hours, Christians are doing their stuff, it’s the middle of Hanukkah, and everyone else in between is either working since it is the middle of the week or on vacation with obligations. Day 1 is for getting the comments they have to leave on their gifts. As we move forward, people will probably start with the shortest fics first and move up. Most people won’t see casual traffic until the weekend. Also this is Yuletide, where fandoms are small.

I would expect to see a big boost today (at least in America, a lot of people have off, but less family obligations) and this weekend (it's the weekend).
