Not in the fandom, so only have to say very short things:

1. The author's note put me off immediately (and there's worldbuilding to be done about what constitutes as 'gay' in soulmate universes, IMO) but I did quite like their dialogue.

2. Liked it a bit more overall, again like the dialogue, very good overall flow.

3. Are descriptions like 'Pete’s body lit up with anticipation from his balls to his throat.' a thing in the fandom? Because otherwise, uh. In general found it a bit awkward, although I appreciate the structure.

4. Nice! Felt a bit flat for me, but I suspect it's great for people who love these characters.

I think my favorite might be the second, I felt it conveyed a dynamic that even someone with zero knowledge could appreciate. But this fandom has good writers! :)

Loved the movie back in the day, but I'm not in the fandom. (Is there a fandom??)

1. The author's note caused me to roll my eyes. Possibly that set the unfortunate tone for how I reacted to the story.

2. Good writing, funny moments. Enjoyed it. Great voices, sounded/felt like Ice and Maverick to me.

3. It was fine? It's definitely yuleporn without a lot of background emotion.

4. Great true-to-character snarky dialog. Liked the coming-to-terms arc for Maverick. Well-written.

Would recommend 2 and 4. None were terrible though.
