Uh, whut? a) That was my first comment, and b) I'm saying we don't know anything at all about the author. I think all this discussion of their motives and knowledge of the rules is pointless. OTOH, the mods can check who they are, so they might have more insight.

You seem to be agreeing with the coalies who think the Yuletide mods should keep an eye on this author in the future. I think that's a wild overreaction to what is a simple case of ODAO that skirts a rule.

No, I'm agreeing with people who say contacting the mods is better than minimodding yourself, because you're going to feel like a dumbass if you gently inform a newbie of the rules and it turns out to actually be rosefox.
