If you post a chaptered work, does each new chapter count as a separate hit? Mostly just looking for an excuse as to why my hits : kudos ratio is so messed up.

On the first day of reading, you probably have a lot of people opening longer fics in a tab and waiting to read them later. Give it a couple days, coalie.

I'm even worse in that I open up all the fics that look interesting and download them onto my ebook. My eyes just can't handle that much computer screen time anymore. It'll probably be a week or two before I come back and comment on the fics with titles later in the alphabet.
