It's a scolding. It sucks to be on the end of. And I think it's dumb as hell to tattle like a child on a person for a non-issue when you liked the damn gift.

If the recip liked the fic, it's a non-issue. Period. Why do you want to encourage complaints about fic people actually liked? what the fuck is the matter with you?

I want to encourage complaints about problem authors. Just because one participant doesn't mind that the fic contains a DNW or is unfinished or isn't about the characters they requested doesn't make this sort of behavior from the author any better.

It's not what they asked for. I might like the sparkly blue shoes, but I really wanted green ones because they go with my dress and the sparkly blue ones won't last.
