Dear recip: From the lack of kudos/comment, I gather you either didn’t like it or defaulted. Sorry! It was hard to tell from your signup exactly the tone you wanted, and right at the deadline I realized it probably wasn’t what I’d spent weeks working on. Please don’t leave a pity comment at this point, I’d rather we both just forgot about my well-intentioned coal.

Dear author: I like the story a lot but am having a huge mental block about writing a good comment to expand on my placeholder!

Deciding that your recip doesn't like your fic because they didn't read it immediately is premature. You may not have family obligations/other stuff scheduled today, but many do.

Lmao OP wtf. For your recipient you're like "oh you hated it because you haven't given feedback," and then for your author you expect them to understand that you didn't hate it but you can't think of feedback at the moment. Okay.

I laughed out loud at that.

This is too early to complain about not getting feedback from your recip in *any* exchange. It's most definitely too early to complain in an exchange that takes place during what is a major, major holiday for many people around the world. What with it being called "Yuletide" and stuff.

I hope your recip is having a lovely holiday with tons of presents and getting pleasantly tipsy while you are venting over them having the gall to actually have a life outside of fic exchanges.
