Dear Recip,

Thank you for the placeholder (and your awesome letter, and the fandom you introduced me too, and generally being great), but it suggests you think that your treat is also written by me. It is not. Should I reply anonymously and give them a heads up that I didn’t right it? They’re saying they can’t wait to dive more into this one and read “your other fic.”

They might just mean other fic you've written, coalie, after author reveals.

CYRT, I reread to make sure and I don’t think so. They actually said your “second” fic and it really does sound like they mean their other gift.

MY BAD, I assumed you had written both because I saw you talking on coal about how you were planning to write one fic you'd try to tailor to my particular requests and another fic that was more what you wanted for the canon. I truly haven't had time to read the second one yet but when I saw the tags on both I assumed this was that situation (making an ass out of me it seems!) so I was still looking forward to reading both but only had time for one this morning so I picked that one heh. I am shocked and enthused that there is actually another person who has written in this canon now besides the two of us!!

No it makes sense!! I was just minorly worried about the confusion. I’m so glad you liked it, I really adored writing it. I am going to write at least one more story for it, but definitely sometime in 2020! I wanted to focus on making this one perfect for you :’).

I can’t wait to read the other one either!! The fandom tripled this Yuletide!! You’re a hero for introducing it to both of us and I really, genuinely loved writing for you. It’s not that I didn’t want anti-fixit fic, I just also want fix-it fic—but I’ll write it later.

(Also, d’you see someone maybe talking about us in the complaints thread? Lol.)

I'm just now getting back on my computer after holiday stuff but no I hadn't seen that thread, ha. Yes, all of those tags were extremely desired and eagerly anticipated!

And yes I am so glad other people have read and enjoyed the book now too, it's wonderful! I've been asking for it for a couple of years and I never knew anyone else who had read it before so just the fact that suddenly lots of people have checked it out is a yuletide miracle :D
