Did you get a fic with the character you requested?

Did the author include anything you DNW?

You are complaining about dumb shit. Oh, no, you requested f/f and your author didn't feel it, so you got het instead. Poor baby.

DA

You're right. It's the author's right to do it. I'd refuse this lump of coal within two seconds without regret however.

Seriously? ODAO het for an f/f or m/m request is like the go-to example of "probably spite fic".

Just go gen that someone can hardcore squint and read as pre-femslash instead, who the fuck wants het for a f/f request.

There's a difference between going ODAO and writing the opposite of the recipient's likes. If there's an id mismatch on my recip's requested ships, I'd write them friendship gen, not a completely unrequested pairing, and especially not an unrequested het pairing when they requested f/f.

Exactly. In the same way that if someone's request is totally het, I wouldn't take one of their characters and write them in an m/m or f/f relationship. People would think that was wanky as hell (and it would be), so they should think the same when one of the characters in a same-sex request is slapped into an unrequested het pairing.

Asshole move.

I hate to agree, but, I agree. Make your ship preferences plain and DNW no unrequested ships. At worst you'll get gen with your preferred characters, which is way better than one of them being in a relationship with a character you dislike.

But they *did* make their ship preferences clear, and they also didn't even mention that other character. The DNW about unrequested ships wasn't there, it seems, but who can blame them with all the wank it always gets?

Defending this and trying to blame it on the recip really isn't a good look.

8/10 Good topic, good coming out of the gate belligerently. You should get a fine wank from this.

Sorry you recognise your own bad behaviour, coalie. Next time don't give someone the no homo shit they very clearly don't want. You'd have been fine with the gen if you "weren't feeling" the ship, but tossing in your own fave pairing makes you the asshole here.

You're either trolling or you're a complete braindead moron who has done something equally shitty to your own recip once and trying to pin the blame on them. Either way, you suck.
