Coalie in Post-DeadlineLand

Coalie was beginning to get very tired of waiting for their gift to be posted, and of having nothing to shake: once or twice they had peeped into the tags of the fic their dentist had been gifted, but it had no characters or freeforms on it, "and what is the use of a fic," thought Coalie, "without ships or tags?"

Same!! My gift is unwrangled. I have no conveniently located megafandom, but I want to send up smoke signals that my author should write in a cameo of the many real people that it would make sense for the characters to run into (it could be one line!) and shamelessly tag it 20th century rpf too.

I’m so excited about the fic, though. Meeeeme the tags are perfect and it’s LONG and it’s a canon that they almost certainly read just for me, given that it is an obscure example, of an obscure in fandom genre. I’m preemptively touched and I just want to make sure they get every hit they deserve.

I’m intrigued. Would you mind giving more hints?

CYRT

It’s an epistolary novel, if that’s enough a hint? (The “obscure in fandom genre” I’m talking about us something more specific than that, though. “Literary movement” might also be more accurate than genre.)
