Coalie in Post-DeadlineLand

Coalie was beginning to get very tired of waiting for their gift to be posted, and of having nothing to shake: once or twice they had peeped into the tags of the fic their dentist had been gifted, but it had no characters or freeforms on it, "and what is the use of a fic," thought Coalie, "without ships or tags?"

Discord shenanigans

Sure, let's talk child abuse in the channel dedicated to sexy stuff! Jesus Christ.

Is the discord even worth messing with? Do people do it with their fandom pseuds?

I'm super curious and think it might be fun and informative, at least where Yuletide goings-on are concerned, but it seems kind of like a clique that generates a lot of side-eye stuff.

I just want to talk about fandoms and writing fanfic and such things, and maybe watch non-hurty dramas unfold. Yes?

You can totally do that! That's what I'm there for. There are just a couple of ... characters.

I think EAD is great and Yuletide is intolerable. If you want an exchange related discord, join EAD. It has a yuletide channel!

+1, if you actually want to talk about exchanges/fic (or just lurk like I do!) EAD is where it's at. I only look at Yuletide when people are being obnoxious so I can rubberneck, but on the whole it's mostly just benignly annoying there.

I'm pretty much just a lurker in chats. I'll check out EAD (Exchanges After Dark, for anybody who needed to google that like me, haha!). Thanks!

Seeing that it was AlexSeanchai was definitely a dead dove do not eat moment.

What exactly happened?

Re: Discord shenanigans

Someone commented on the awkwardness of writing sexy spanking; AlexSeanchai decided to make it even more awkward: "in related news, cn child abuse: ||a thousand curses be upon whoever first decided that should be a disciplinary method used upon children

because (1) keep your kinky behavior to consenting adults, fuckhead (2) abuuuuuse (3) thanks for poisoning the concept for everybody on the pointy end of 2||"

...at least they spoiler-tagged it?

does

does alexseanchai think spanking was a sexy fun kink first and was turned into a punishment for children by some pervert later on

like really

can anyone really be that stupid

Does AlexSeanchai think that corporal punishment was kinky first and an actual banal bullshti thing second, or what?

Cool, and now we're talking about our real-life experiences with childhood spanking! Totally normal and well-socialized!

They've deleted that now, although it was a pretty vague reference, no details or anything.

I could personally do without anyone declaring writing a kink "awkward" in public. If you're writing something for someone, you're not gonna make them feel good about it by saying you find it awkward.
