Coalie, they will already be aware that they write stories that are aesthetically different than most people in the fandom write, and if they cared they wouldn't have requested it in Yuletide. Especially if they've written a significant fraction of all the fic ever in this fandom, they will just be super excited to get one that wasn't written by them for once.

(Honestly there've been tiny fandoms where I got comments like "your fic for this is so good I am too intimidated to write in this fandom!" and now all I desperately want is more worse fic for the fandom so people are less intimidated so I have more fic to read!!!)
