Do people judge you when they see that some of your fandom sections are longer than others? It’s not that I like the shorter fandom sections less, I just wrote my letter out of order and now I’m out of brain juice.

I don't. I try to keep mine mostly similar in length but sometimes there's just more to say about one. I try not to even look at fandom sections if I didn't match on them.

Only if it's extremely noticeable and/or you flat out say you want the fandom with the longest section most and it has the most detailed prompts and you requested the others because you had to pick something are like one line of "a monster hunter AU? idk"

But not if they're in the same ballpark. I'm not checking word count or counting up how many prompts you have in Fandom A vs Fandom C.

Only if it's extreme, like 7 paragraphs written about one fandom and one sentence for the other fandoms. Which I matched to once in yuletide, and they did want that 7 paragraphs one the most. It was not the one we matched on or that I wrote.

I will judge you if we match on the fandom with the least details in your letter and it doesn't give me enough to go on. Otherwise I don't care.

The only letter I've judged for a shorter section this year had general likes and prompts for every fandom, except the last one, which just got "something that matches the tone of canon I guess" Less about the length, more about the difference in care

For me it kind of depends on the length of canon? Like I'd expect more details/thoughts about a long-running tv show vs a short story or five minute fandom (or say, a fandom where you've selected 'any' and there are 10+ characters vs a fandom where there are only two characters nominated)

It depends on how many characters they're requesting. A fandom with ten characters and any is usually going to end up with a longer paragraph than a fandom with one character nominated.

But I will side-eye if they've only made the minimum number of requests and one is like, five paragraphs, while the other two are just like idk i had to request 3 lol.
