Mostly I'm basing this on the fact that A is listed first. Personally, I would always list the thing I want more first. But "can definitely happen" also has that tone of "I assume this is why you offered this in the first place" which is why I've been staring at it for so long.

But you're right, I should probably just stick to my gut and go with A.
